IF_Double

This weeks illustrationfriday subject is double... and the first thing that came to mind was a fantasy creature known as the Ettin....  So i sketched this up, and started inking it, but i didn't have time to get to the color version... Seems this Ettin is under siege by some evil human... who has launched a sling bullet at the poor Ettins head.... i guess they don't share nerve endings on each others head, because one of them does not look too happy about the attack..

IF_Breakfast

This weeks illustration Friday subject deals with one of my favorite meals of the day.... breakfast! I love going out and having a nice breakfast, with eggs, bacon or sausage... a side of hash browns, and a few large cups of coffee.... So today we are honoring all those special individuals that go into making breakfast such a tasty and cherished meal...

IF_Ripple

Well its been a long time since I had any time to post to illustration Friday, and this week subject is ripple... I thought about it, and just couldn't bring myself to do some kind of water, or dripping thing... But since I have been on a Dr.Who kick as of late... i figured a quick sketch of the TARDIS causing a time ripple as it speeds through the void would do... A stretch? no i don't think so... but ether way.. its still a good sketch exercise so...

IF-Fearless

It has been some time since my last post... lots has been going on in my world. First I have moved my blog back to blogger, and yes i know I was at blogger then moved to wordpress, and now i am back... In the process of migration back some of the links and comments have been, well messed up, but I am currently in the process of fixing it all...

I have been working on a new web page/online portfolio.. so lots of stuff moving around or changing..

It has also been a really long time since i last posted on illustrationfriday, so I figured why not... the theme this week is Fearless.. and I have been working on this piece that fits it very well... Its very far from finished, but here is where I am with it right now...

IF_Brave

Its been awhile since i posted last... really busy at work, plus I had a flare up in my eyes.. but oh well.. I saw the illustration friday subject and thought I give it a go.. I was thinking about bravery, and how hero's are made for children. They choose to pretend to be a brave swashbckler, or a fireman or police officer.. I personally wanted to be Darth Vader, but I will leave that up to my shrink to decode..

Renewed Focus

The illustration Friday topic this week is focused… and although not entirely on target, I am taking liberties with this subject, and displaying my renewed focus. It has been some time since I have done any animation in flash, and though I have always been an animation fan all the way back to the early 90s when I learned animator pro in college… I have never really been able to give it the full attention that I wanted… Now I will be doing some sort of animation or another for every drawing I do so that I can envelop myself in flash…. But still continue to work on my illustration at the same time…. This should be an interesting project…

PS:: If you dont buy all that as a reason to post this on illustration friday, then you leave me no choice... The envelopes are focused on filling up the mail box.... tadaaaaaaa!

Bread Head

So in the spirit of my New Years goal of breaking my previous years post count. I need to average about six posts a month, but since I haven’t been posting much in the form of sketchbook, even though I have sketches all over the place. I decided to post a recent piece I have been working on at work.

Now I know what you are thinking…. Bread… he posts bread.. but some times it’s the little things that I notice, or feel proud of. In this case I drew the most amazing spot illustration of bread. This has to be by far the best bread I have ever drawn in vector form. I can feel its softness… I can taste the crumby, beady goodness…. to you its bread... to me... art!

clumsy

The illustration Friday prompt this week is clumsy…. Anyone who knows me.... knows I am not the most skilled person in the world when it comes to being a handyman. Not that I am necessarily bad at it.. I just like to get into my work, and sometimes it doesn’t always turn out the way I want it. If I say a task at home will take a few minutes, and that it’s easy. That usually translates to a whole weekend trying to figure out why something isn’t working properly, and swearing a whole bunch. But I digress….
